Introducing Shelly WiFi Automation

Our customers are typically DIY or trades with an interest in technology or looking to disrupt the installer supply chain to gain the best price for supply and install.  We have found over the years that support for technology either costs too much or is nonexistent.  Cheap online prices comes with a cost – no support and no way to easily contact the seller.

Shelly is an exciting new range of automation products with powerful features for controlling and monitoring your home or business.  There are so many useful applications, many still to be imagined, for this cost effective and powerful system of WiFi switches, relays, sensors, and ever growing range of addons.  We recently used a Shelly UNI device to add close and open buttons for our motorised vehicle gate.  This came about as the gate control was a toggle only – press the button to change state (open / close / stop) which meant unless you could see it you didn’t know the current state.  We attached a UNI device to separate Open and Close inputs on the control board, connected via WiFi to our Shelly Cloud App, and now we can open or close the gate from anywhere without having to see the gate.  This is great at night when securing the property as it saves having to go outside to check the gate status.
